The Gunther Hot runner System has an innovative and patented bi-metallic titanium shaft at the core of it’s technical advantages over other systems which minimises heat transfer from hot runner nozzle to mould tool but which additionally gives a perfect seal in the tool. Both open and valve gate systems are available for single  or high cavity production moulds as systems only or as completed hot halves. Other innovations include the new ‘Blueflow®’ heater technology (www.blueflow.de) giving a slimmer and more energy efficient hot runner nozzle, special PM inserts for valve gate systems and we were also the first system to offer a plate operated valve gate system, a market sector we remain at the forefront of. To further complement our range we also introduced a specialist range of mould accessories from Rainer Knarr GmbH in 2011. With a large range of industry-standard size ejector pins, pillars, bushes, sleeves and other parts Rainer Knarr also specialise in DLC and Cr2N coated parts which are ideal for the medical and food packaging industries as they require no lubricants. Two particular innovations that are also available are patented stepless ejector sleeves and also blade ejectors with 2 or 4 corner radii. The most recent addition to our range has been the company Ferrofacta GmbH. Whilst we do not currently offer standard P plates we are happy to now offer specially machined plates, to your models from different sources worldwide but still with the comfort of dealing with a quality German company. Available in your specified tool steel these plates can be supplied to tight tolerances with all bores, threads, chamfers etc machined. In 2009 we also introduced the name of mould cooling specialist, Contura  GmbH into the UK and Ireland. The importance of mould cooling can sometimes be overlooked at the design stage leading to long cycle times or poor plastic parts but, using a range of different bonding techniques Contura can offer a conformal cooling system allowing you to place your water close to the part to have the maximum influence. It is not uncommon to see a cycle time saving of up to 50% with an average saving of 30%.
