    Guenther

The home of the innovative and energy saving BLUEFLOW® thick film heater technology!              www.blueflow.de

Günther are a market leader in the manufacture of high quality precision Hot Runner Systems for moulds with 1 to 128 (and more) cavities. Able to process materials ranging from commodity plastics to even the most difficult technical polymers, the Gunther range incorporates hydraulic, pneumatic and electric valve gate systems, innovative side gate solutions in various designs and even systems for micro moulding applications as well as standard tips in different sizes. All nozzles feature the unique patented bi-metallic shafts which the Gunther name was built on.

The Günther Hot runner System has an innovative and patented bi-metallic titanium shaft at the core of its technical advantages over other systems which minimises heat transfer from hot runner nozzle to mould tool but which additionally gives a perfect seal in the tool. Both open and valve gate systems are available for single or high cavity production moulds as systems only or as completed hot halves. We were also the first system to offer a plate operated valve gate system, a market sector we remain at the forefront of. Advanced designs of multi tip nozzle and a full selection of hot runner controllers complement the range and we are happy to give you the right advice over which system/design is suitable for you application. Installation and mould trial attendance/assistance are also available via the UK.

In 2011, to further complement our range, Gunther UK introduced a specialist range of mould accessories from Knarr GmbH, a brand that has rapidly become a well-established supplier to the UK and Ireland mould making industries with a vast range of standard mould components. In addition to these (a broad spectrum of industry-standard size ejector pins, pillars, bushes, sleeves, and other parts), Knarr also have the facility to manufacture special parts to customer drawings and specification and are a market leader in the supply of DLC and Cr2N-coated components which are ideal for the medical and food packaging industries as they require no lubricants. Two innovations that are also available are patented stepless ejector sleeves and also blade ejectors with 2 or 4 corner radii. Finally, we are also a leading supplier of bespoke collapsible cores, with or without the finished contours.

    Contura

    Contura

In 2009, we introduced the name of mould cooling specialist Contura GmbH into the UK and Ireland. Mould cooling is a critical part of the injection moulding process and yet is often overlooked in the product/mould design stage, thus leading to long cycle times or poor plastic parts. However, Contura employs a series of different bonding techniques that can offer a conformal cooling solution allowing you to place your water close to the part to have the maximum influence. The Rapid Heat and Cool (Variothermal) process is a method of rapidly heating the mould during injection before quickly cooling it done to give best possible surface quality with no visible weld lines and a high gloss finish and Contura are also a leading light in this field with their own Gekko dual-tank controller
